Vet FAQs

Got questions? We've got answers about joining our trusted network and how our platform works for vets.

What are the eligibility requirements to join the Pet Euthanasia People Team?

You must be based in the UK and registered with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, ensuring you uphold the highest standards of ethical and professional integrity. We provide an onboarding process that covers all our requirements and CPD to guarantee that we deliver the highest quality service to our customers.

How does flexible scheduling work?

We provide pre-qualified appointments in your geographical area. You have the flexibility to choose which appointments you want to accept based on your other commitments. Appointments are offered to all vets in our database for that area and are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

When do I receive payment?

We pay our vets every Monday for all visits completed in the previous week. No paperwork is required, just a simple process where we send you a statement and deposit your fees directly into your chosen bank account.

What kind of support do you offer?

We handle all the administrative tasks, including marketing, customer awareness, initial inquiries, and quality of life assessments if needed. We also take care of booking the appointment and payments, along with everything else in between.

Customers will receive clear information about what to expect and how to prepare for your visit in advance. This allows you to focus on providing exceptional care on the day of the appointment. You will speak with the customer once prior to the appointment day to confirm an arrival time that works for both of you and to clarify any important details.

We kindly ask that if there are any changes in timing on the day of the appointment, such as unexpected traffic or a prior appointment running longer than planned, you communicate with the customer beforehand.

It’s essential to keep them informed during what can be one of the most stressful events in their life.

Am I paid mileage?

You are reimbursed all your mileage from your door to the appointment and back again. You don't need to submit claim forms, we add your mileage to your Monday payment automatically.

How is work allocated?

Work opportunities are shared with our vet pool, including the date, time, location, and fee. If you're available and interested, simply let us know. Jobs are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, there’s no need to maintain a calendar or pre-submit your availability. You have complete control to choose when and where you work.

What happens with the pets remains?

Once you complete the procedure, you are free to go. We partner with a network of crematoriums that offer a collection service for the client, so you are not required to transport the deceased pet.

Who provides the medication and consumables?

You provide the medication and consumables. If you are already set up as an independent IHE (In home euthanasia) vet, then you are ready to start working. If you are not yet set up, we can help you every step of the way.

What does it cost me to be part of your network?

It’s free to join, and we’ve made the process as hassle-free as possible. There’s really no reason not to be part of the Pet Euthanasia People.

Do I have to work exclusively for The Pet Euthanasia People?

No, you are free to take work from elsewhere. While we hope that once you experience working with us, we become your preferred partner, we do not require any exclusivity. Our approach and the way we look after our vets speaks for itself.
